The Township of Langley is requesting proposals for engineering services from qualified consulting firms to provide design services and a cost estimate for a leak detection system to monitor 5.9km of the East Langley Water Supply (ELWS), which is a 750mm diameter ductile iron critical transmission main located along 52 Ave. Phase 1 of the project will consider a 5.9km section of the 52Ave. water main from Station 1 -038 to Station 6 923. Prior to design, the proponent is required to evaluate all pertinent reports/inspections, complete a market survey for possible leak detection system options, and recommend a best value option based on full life cycle costing, including annual monitoring fees.
