The Township of Langley (the Township) is requesting proposals from qualified geotechnical and hydrotechnical engineering professionals to perform detailed design for stabilization of the Salmon River’s eroded western bank, located just upstream of the 56 Avenue bridge. The localized channel erosion may pose a risk to the downstream bridge structure and requires remediation. The options for bank stabilization should include analysis of bio-engineering methods, channel realignment, and/or traditional slope stabilization methods. The erosion site is located both on public and private property located at 24364 56 Avenue.
